Dominik Soboszlai’s football career
At youth level, Dominik Szoboszlai played for a number of clubs in his native Hungary, initially with Videoton, Phonik-Gold, Upest and MTK Budapest.
Before 2016, Szoboszlai played football abroad for the first time in his life with the youth team of Austrian side Liefering, a neighboring Hungary. Szoboszlai spent just one year in the youth team, making his way into the senior team in the 2017-18 season and making his professional debut at the age of 17, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 33 matches in the Austrian 2 Liga.
His brilliant form earned him promotion to the first team at Söboszlai’s parent club, Red Bull Salzburg, the club where Söboszlai played that same season.
